1911 Mainspring Housing with slots for connecting stock

Got it as part of a complete kit to convert the pistol into a carbine.
Looks like a casting with minimum machining, not pretty but functional.
It fitted (slide in) my 1911 (Thompson), however the hole for the bottom retaining pin was drilled at an angle preventing the pin installation.
Had to drill the hole "straight" and took some time to get it right.
That is why i gave it a generous 3 stars.
