I bought one of these.. and kicked myself cause I should have bought more. I was worried they were out of stock when I tried to order more but when I called they said their website isn't always accurate. If you see that this is unavailable online.. Call them! I ordered a few more kits to keep me busy for a while. Also ordered the one with no barrel to build a black out upper. I only wish they had the 300 barrels. All parts were new in the first kit I got. I am hoping for the same in the next batch. The parts are all standard mil spec. No difference in any parts comparing to all the DPMS parts I have seen/used. There are only a few companies that make the small parts. I looked high and low to find a better deal (even buying parts separately). You can't get any better. And the rifles shoot great. Perfect first AR or perfect backup for SHTF. Stake the carrier screws and enjoy!

This was the second kit I have assembled and I am very impressed with the quality of parts from SARCO. The barrel was from a well known supplier as was the upper receiver. The parts were packed well and nothing was missing. (We did fumble the extractor donut into the shag carpeting but had another handy). This last AR was built for a buddy. I am ordering two more kits so I can give one to each of my boys for their birthdays this year.

I was very pleased to see the packaging for this kit. All of the parts are neatly packaged. The only items that were in question was the extractor spring and trigger tension spring as well as the retainer ring for the forward grips, it was a used one that looked shabby. I was disappointed that the DVD I had paid extra for was not in the packaging. I had to rely on the internet for assistants. Besides these three items I have no other issues, all parts are high quality. Just be sure to take it to your local Gunsmith and have the barrel and extractor mill spec'd. Shoots great. I would buy another one.

Went together well, was not problematic. Had to remove front site and move to align correctly. When you assemble have a different Delta ring handy because it needs upgraded, and the A1 flash hider could stand an upgrade to an Izzy or Medieval type Kit is definately worth the effort and time, was a great gun for the money. And it is all Small pin fit so life is good :) Prefer to have a rounded nose hammer and that is easily done. For the money I am not sure there is a better kit out there.

The parts kit arrived after what seemed like a long wait. All I can say is, be patient! You will not be sorry for ordering this! Once all the parts were laid out I inspected everything. Well packed, no damage or missing parts. The kit is complete except for the lower receiver which is an FFL item. Everything appears new/unused and in perfect shape. The barrel is marked 5.56 with 1 in 9 twist, no makers mark present, but appears excellent, and the barrel nut, handguard cap and front sight are installed. Every other part must be put together. The little yellow envelope contains the stop clip for the ejection port cover rod, so don't lose it or think is was put in by mistake! This was not my first build and went together smoothly. Assembly time was about 1-1/2 hours as I took my time to make sure everything was right. Fired brass shows no bulges or damage and there were no malfunctions or stoppages. Feeds from mil spec mags flawlessly. The fire control group is semi auto configuration, so no worry about auto parts and having to get replacements. The bolt carrier is of full auto configuration, which is good since it is a little heavier than the normal semi auto and SP1 carriers available and gives smoother operation. Dont forget to stake the carrier gas key bolts! I couldnt be more pleased with the quality of this kit and recommend it without reservation. If you are not completely sure of what you are doing, get help and do your research. This is not a difficult rifle to assemble but there are a couple of special tools needed.
