COLT 1911A1 1930 Original - Best grade gun – Selected for marking conditions

No, we didn’t find these in the warehouse, but just imported them. We were fortunate to acquire a small quantity of these rare commercial Colts that came from a police department in Argentina. This is the 1933 Colt commercial police contract and we don’t know that any of these have ever come to the U.S. before. Here’s your chance to fill that void in your collection or just get a good used .45 shooter. We have processed the first 200 guns and are good to go.
These are the commercial contract of 1933 for the Buenos Aires Police. They have the “C” prefix serial numbers.
• 1930’s commercial gun “C” prefix. Serial # range is C170,000 area. Also marked Government Model
• Marked “Policia Federal” or “Policia De La Capital” – your choice or buy one of each for your collection

A good purchase

I purchased one of these with realistic/low expectations based on some pictures I had seen of what others received. I was very pleasantly surprised. Pistol I received was all matching numbers with a fair amount of original blue left on the frame - probably 50-60%. pistol is tight, great barrel grooves, excellent markings, lanyard loop is not bent! I am very pleased with this purchase.
should be 4 1/2 stars

I have seen several mid grade colts the only difference between the high and mid grade is the markings, witch are only important if you plan on restoring the gun,I gave this gun 5 stars because it is exactly what sarco said it was, O% bluing, good markings and mostly original, Half star minus because the magazine is not a colt original. The inside of the gun had almost no rust, The outside just a Little surface rust. The only pitting was under the grips as expected.I received the gun with original springs and replacement springs from sarco, They all were thrown away, Putting 2 dollar springs in a 700 dollar gun is just stupid,Wolf springs only, I also replaced the worn original barrel link with a new colt standard link to tighten barrel to slide fit. The gun shot better than I hoped for. and is dead on with 230 ball ammo, If you expect a collector grade gun for 700 bucks forget it, but what you will get is a great Peace of colt history that shoots great and is ready to be restored to all its former glory, witch is just what I am going to do. I do love This old Colt
